On the 24th of September 2024, between 14:00 and 17:30, the Sustainable Places Conference will host an important workshop focused on the future of energy efficiency in the European Union, specifically targeting the implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) Recast. This session, led by the EPB Center, will bring together key stakeholders from the Next Gen EPC cluster, including the TIMEPAC project, to discuss and address the challenges and opportunities associated with this significant piece of EU legislation.
The workshop will feature “lightning talks” from several pioneering projects within the Next Gen EPC cluster, including a presentation from the TIMEPAC project. TIMEPAC will showcase its forward-looking initiatives aimed at enhancing the processes and tools for energy performance certification. By focusing on improving data integration and transparency, TIMEPAC plays an important role in bridging the gap between the EPBD Recast’s directive and its practical application, ensuring that its objectives are met with tangible, future-focused solutions.
In addition to TIMEPAC, other innovative projects such as iBRoad2EPC, CHRONICLE, SmartLivingEPC, tunES, and EPBD.wise will also present their plans and contributions. These projects will react to the earlier discussions from iEPB and SmarterEPC, fostering a dynamic and interconnected dialogue that will be essential for refining strategies and ensuring that the collective efforts of these projects effectively support the EPBD Recast’s implementation.
